Rain here again.  That doesn’t stop the squirrels. I went out this morning with Eric to load the car so I could drop him off, and Sera came out of the bushes in front of the house to ask for a handout.

I got a kick out of watching her and “her shadow”.  I finally decided on a name for him.  I think we’ll call him Lamont (Cranston) as in the most popular secret identify of “the Shadow” – a 1930’s series of novels and eventually a radio show.  “Who knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men? The Shadow knows!” (en.wikipedia.org).  According to Wikipedia, “The character would go on to become a major influence on the subsequent evolution of comic book superheroes, in particular, Batman.”

Lamont might not be a crime-fighter, but he makes a heck of a good shadow.  It’s really cute to watch Sera start down the branches of the tree, and Lamont is mirroring her every move – a few steps behind her.  They went back up the tree that way, too, and then up onto the roof of the house.
