A Hidden Fire
A Hidden Fire by Elizabeth Hunter
My rating: 3 of 5 stars

This is another vampire paranormal/romance. It’s not bad. It’s a ripoff of the Discovery of Witches except so far in the series, the female lead doesn’t seem to be anything other than human. I like the vampire characters more than the human ones. Beatrice DeNovo is studying to be a librarian, and she works part-time in the library at the University. Dr. Giovanni Vecchio comes in to study/translate ancient texts in the library’s collection. She ends up working for him, there’s a mystery to solve, and a bad guy is after her. Pretty standard fare for paranormal romance. I am currently reading book #2 in the series and still wondering where the author is going with the characters. Do they end up together, or don’t they?
