NaNoWriMo Update/Monday

Wow, I really can’t do it all.  I have 6,342 words in my NaNoWriMo novel, and I’m excited about that.  I’m working on a children’s book based on the adventures of Seraphina Squirrel and her friends in the woods. It’s been fun working on it, but I tend to want to do just that and nothing else!

I was so tired last evening after working all day.  I only managed a  few hundred words yesterday in my book.  I posted twice on my other blog – and I sat down for just a few minutes, intending to come back to post here and to work on bill-paying, laundry, etc.  The next thing I knew it was bedtime (I had dozed off in the chair).  When I looked at the clock and realized I had forgotten to post here, it was after midnight.  Oops, too late for a Monday post!

But it’s the start of a brand new day.  I have a little time this morning while I wait for a DIRECTV install guy to show up.  Maybe I can work on the novel and get a few other things done while I wait.

Here’s Chase greeting the brand new day. He’s watching the sparrows in the rosebush outside the window beside me.  The sun is just coming up. I’ve already been outside to say “hi” to Sera and tossed her a couple of peanuts.  The sparrows and Papa Cardinal are busy devouring the seed in the feeders.  It looks to be a beautiful, day so far. Happy Tuesday!

  1. I’m so excited to hear that you are writing the squirrel diaries. I simply MUST buy a copy for my children (ahem, for me!) when it’s published… good luck and don’t work too hard! x
