I didn’t care for The Good Thief by Hannah Tinti. I made it to page 50 where they steal the horse, and that was enough for me. I didn’t like any of the characters. It’s obvious that the long-lost brother who claims Ren from the orphanage is a liar and a con artist. I also didn’t care much for Ren. There was a lot of potential there, but it didn’t pan out. I was reading this book for a book club through my public library and got my copy from the library. I’m glad I didn’t spend any money on it!
I find that If I don’t like a character I have a very difficult time liking the book but I usually read beyond page 50. Sometimes the story becomes interesting a hundred pages in. Haven’t read this book so I can’t comment.

The book was only a few hundred pages long. It just wasn’t worth wasting my time on.
