I love old ticket stubs! I have a lot of the stubs from the ballgames I used to go to. A giant piece of paper printed off your computer just isn’t the same (Let alone what passes for tickets on smartphones these days). And now they just scan your ticket rather than ripping it in half. I think the last time I had a ticket stub torn off as I entered a ballpark was when I went to Wrigley Field in 2006…
Looks like you got to see a few heavy metal bands (Motley Crue and Great White) before they hit it big too!
I’m glad I saved them. I found them in a desk drawer and was surprised they’d survived that well after 30-some years. 1984 was a good year – I was 25, single, and my cousin and I went to lots of shows. The prices have sure changed. $9? $10.50? I spent $160! for Def Leppard this year and $90 for Keith Urban. Why have the prices gotten so high??
